Founded in 2006 by boxing legend Manny Pacquiao—the only eight-division world champion in boxing history—Manny Pacquiao Promotions was created to discover, develop, and promote the next generation of boxing talent, with a strong focus on fighters from the Philippines and across Asia. Headquartered in General Santos City, Philippines, the company embodies Pacquiao’s passion for the sport and his commitment to giving back to the boxing community.

In 2025, Mr. Sean Gibbons reconnected with one of his oldest friends and longtime boxing associate from the early 1990s, Mr. Tony G. Cohen. This reunion marked a pivotal expansion for Manny Pacquiao Promotions, as the company launched a U.S. division headquartered in Beverly Hills, California. Under the leadership of President Sean Gibbons and Vice President Tony Cohen, J.D., the new branch enhances Manny Pacquiao Promotions’ global reach—particularly across North and South America. With this strategic presence in the U.S., the company is better positioned to scout and promote elite talent, offering fighters increased opportunities for international exposure and success. The Beverly Hills headquarters also streamlines coordination of events and partnerships throughout the Western Hemisphere.

With over 30 years in the boxing business, Gibbons has worn many hats — from matchmaker to manager to executive. Tony Cohen J.D.

Tony G. Cohen is a seasoned entrepreneur and entertainment executive whose career spans the worlds of professional boxing, film production, and real estate development. A dynamic force in the industry since the early 1990s, Mr. Cohen first rose to prominence alongside longtime friend and colleague Sean Gibbons. Together, they promoted top-tier boxing events for networks such as HBO, Showtime, ESPN, and Telemundo, building a reputation for electrifying matchups and elite talent management.

After years of success in the boxing world, Mr. Cohen took a bold step and pursued a legal education. Upon graduating from law school, he transitioned into the film industry, working under legendary Hollywood producer Jonathan D. Krane. As President of JKMPO (Jonathan Krane Motion Picture Organization), Mr. Cohen played a pivotal role in producing numerous blockbuster films, including Face/Off, Swordfish, Michael, Phenomenon, and The General’s Daughter.

His journey in film continued with another iconic producer, William Fay, where he was involved in the production of major hits such as 300, Independence Day, The Hangover, and The Patriot. Mr. Cohen’s success in both boxing and Hollywood highlights his unique ability to merge business savvy with creative vision.

Notably, Mr. Cohen promoted the first-ever live boxing event broadcast from the Playboy Mansion on ESPN, headlined by Mia St. John. He also helped propel the career of legendary three-time world champion Tony “The Tiger” Lopez, among many other rising stars.

Today, in addition to his role with Manny Pacquiao Promotions, Mr. Cohen serves as CEO of a thriving real estate development firm based in Beverly Hills. With a team of over 75 agents, his company caters to high-net-worth investors and celebrities, offering expert guidance in both investment strategy and luxury property transactions.
